Fabric Chalk Pastel

The first picture is a painting by Alice Neel. She uses harsher lines and bold colors in her work. I like her painting because it is realistic but simplified. It looks like children but they are look more like dolls.  In my chalk pastel I used some harsh lines and vibrant colors. I like my chalk pastel overall but I don't like the yellow shirt and much as the purple and creamy one.

Hopper Pencil Drawing

My Hopper drawing was meant to focus on the contrast I think it turned out well but something is not right about the face. It is a picture of my friend so it is hard to judge if it looks like her or not. I am proud of it but I think if I could have put more details in the face then it would have turned out better.

Song

This song is called under the sea. It is from one of my favorite movies as a child The Little Mermaid. The word that I chose for my list was ocean and this is about the sea any everything in it. It is extremely easy and fun to listen to.

First Painting

This was a painting of a two bags that I took a picture of. It was a pallet knife painting which was extremely challenging. I did not like how it turned out but I did my best it was difficult to do with a pallet knife.

Porter/ Hopper Post

This is a painting by Porter and I really like how much this picture is simplified. It is extremely simplified but you are still able to understand what the objects are. It's simple but complex in that it would be very complex to try and paint. I would like to use the contrast that is shown in my sketch.
